In 2026, at the top of our twentieth year, we closed the American business entity and opened in Belgium. For sustainably-minded and socially responsible businesses, Europe is the place to be.
If you are an American customer, current or new: nothing changes for you. The US mailing address is still there, and neither operations nor servers are moving anywhere. But it is time to meet European reporting requirements, so here they are.

Statement on use of Artificial Intelligence
Sustainable Hosting is a proud supporter of new laws in the EU that require reporting AI use where applicable. While none of our central hosting offers are designed or run by AI and all of our emails are written by humans, the structure of this website was largely generated by AI. This not only reduced costs and increased speed to completion, but was also a necessary step towards teaching our own carbon-negative AI systems how to make a decent WordPress website. AI was also used as a writing and editing partner for much of the content. Finally, AI was used to translate 100% of the site into the four available languages.
