Most of what we do is WordPress, and most of our customers are on one plan: Press ON!, at a fixed €59 a year.
It is deliberately simple. One site. Twenty gigabytes. Five mailboxes. Five databases. A free SSL certificate. And every WordPress capability available to you, because we do not think “I want to install a plugin” should be a paid upgrade. You can even run other software instead if you like (see below), and you can upgrade at any time.
Fast because it’s small, not because it’s expensive
Most hosting companies sell you speed by throwing hardware at a bloated site. We’d rather the site not be bloated in the first place.
Here’s our own site, measured this week from two countries:
- Under half a second to fully deliver the page — 0.42s from Belgium, 0.47s from Finland
- 0.34 MB and eleven requests for the whole page
- HTTP/2 and compression on every connection
That’s not a benchmark we cherry-picked from a lab. It’s the same server your site would sit on, measured with the same tools you can run yourself.
The carbon number
At time of writing, the Website Carbon Calculator rates this page at 0.04 grams of CO₂ per visit — cleaner than 96% of pages it has tested.
That figure comes from three things working together: green-powered hosting, a page that doesn’t ship megabytes it doesn’t need, and a deliberate policy of not loading third-party scripts. Almost everything on this page is served from our own server, as it would be for your site. We don’t hand your visitors off to an advertising network, a font CDN, or a tracking script, which is better for their privacy and cheaper in carbon at the same time.
What we actually do for you
We host on renewable energy. Not offsets bought after the fact. We’ve been doing this since 2006, which makes us the oldest green web host still running that was carbon-neutral from its first day.
We will help keep your install lean. Every plugin you add costs you page weight, load time, and attack surface. Most sites run five plugins that do what two could. Ask us for a quick look at your site, and when you’ve installed something that will cost you more than it gives you, we’ll tell you — before it’s on the site, not after it’s slowed things down.
We give you a sane starting point. A clean WordPress install, current PHP, compression on, HTTP/2 on, and no pre-installed junk you have to remove.

Publish without holding your breath
Right now, editing a live site means editing a live site. Every change is public the moment you save it, and a mistake is public too.
The new platform gives every site a staging copy — a private, working duplicate where you can redesign a page, try a new plugin, or rewrite your services list without a single visitor seeing it. When you’re happy, you press one button and it goes live. If it turns out wrong, you press another and it goes back to how it was.
For anyone who has ever broken their own site at 11pm, this is the feature that matters.
Your site stops depending on one machine
Today, like almost all hosting, your site lives on one server. If that server needs a reboot, your site is down for the length of the reboot.
The new platform runs your site on two independent machines in different places. If one goes away — planned maintenance, hardware fault, anything — traffic moves to the other one. Your visitors don’t get an error page. You don’t get a phone call.
We’ll be honest about what this is and isn’t: it’s redundancy against a machine failing, not a guarantee that nothing can ever go wrong. But “the server is rebooting after updates” stops being your problem.
Pages that don’t get rebuilt from scratch every time
Every time someone visits a normal WordPress page, the server assembles it from nothing — runs the code, queries the database, builds the HTML — and then throws it away and does it again for the next visitor.
Caching means building it once and handing out copies. It’s the single biggest lever on both speed and energy use, and it’s the difference between a site that feels quick and one that feels like it’s thinking about it. It’s coming as an option on every plan.
Images that fit the screen they’re on
A photo-heavy page shouldn’t send five megabytes to someone’s phone. The new platform will handle modern image formats properly, so your photos stay sharp and your pages stay small.
We’re building this in the background, and we’ll tell you when it’s ready. We’d rather promise less and ship it than list features we don’t have yet.

If WordPress is not the answer
It usually is, but not always. We run Linux, Apache, MariaDB and PostgreSQL, and PHP, Perl and Ruby, so most server-side applications and content management systems are fine here. Static and Jamstack setups are welcome too, and are often the right call for a high-security site. What we do not run is Windows — see the FAQ for why.
